My Collage Relief Prints
For this task, I gathered a wide range of materials that I have lying around my house such as cardboard, old paper, wallpaper and sticky tape. I used some of my drawings I had made previously did and used those for inspiration. The first print plate I put together was of a my kitchen. I tried to best capture the layout of the cupboards and kitchen. The second print I did was of my bathroom. I tried to experiment with different materials for this one such as kitchen roll and bubble rap.
My Intaglio Print Plates
For this part of the task, I used a sewing needle to make many different marks and etchings onto each plate. I used different techniques such as the hatching and crossing mark making to make more texture for the areas I wanted darker and used lighter marks for the lighter areas. I really enjoyed this process and I look forward to seeing the final result of each print on paper when I get back to campus again.
