My Charcoal Drawings
‘Charcoal of a Wolf’
We were asked to create a series of charcoal drawings based on objects within the Museum. At first I found it difficult to create drawings and keep in mind the negative space. After having some practice on the first day, I became more confident. I used willow charcoal to create a contrast of both light and dark strokes and tones for example for the Wolf’s hair. I also used a rubber to create a variety of different markings especially for the mountains in the background. I am really happy with the final outcome and this is one of my favourite charcoal drawings that I produced during the time within the museum.
Below are some of the other charcoal drawings that I have done.

‘Charcoal Drawing of a Museum Cabinet’
‘Charcoal Close Up of a Ship’
‘Charcoal Drawing of an Elk’
‘Charcoal Drawing of a Linen Machine’
