Fine Art – Sculpture project

I designed this sculpture to resemble a paint pallet as it keeps in theme with the art university. The sculpture is designed so that it spins so that children can play on it. I think this fits in well with other attributes to the park such as the ‘hamster’ wheel and swinging bridge, which are also child-friendly. The sculpture would be made out of hard plastic and metal and have different colours to demonstrate paint. It would be 1.5 meters in size in both length and width and positioned close to the coloured mushrooms on the carpet of rainbow grass. The shape of the paint pallet also reminds me of a flower, making it fit in with the nature aspect outside and being aesthetically pleasing to adults as well as children, and not taking away from the view. There would also be rubber padding on the seats of the pallet to ensure it is safe for children to play with so that they do not fall off and injure themselves.
