Denim Challenge

For the denim challenge I decided to be ambitious (for me anyways) and repurpose jeans into a new garment breathing a new life into them. Growing up I would always be amazed at the amazing gowns, frocks and costumes my granny would create with nothing more than her sewing machine and some fabric. So I decided to look at my granny for inspiration as she works with everyone from House of Fraser to The Grand Opera House.  Every year my granny would make my little sister a new dress for her to wear for the Christmas Party. Unfortunately as my granny passed in August, she was unable to carry on the tradition this year. And for this reason I decided to tackle this myself. How hard could it be?

I soon found out how hard it really is to master the sewing machine, which now looking make makes me appreciate all of my granny’s creations the little bit more. I was determined to finish this and keep the tradition alive.
