Whenever we were told about this part of the task, I felt the best material for me to use would be branches and twigs joined with twine. However, I struggled keeping the twine tight enough so that the structure would hold, so I resorted to use the hot glue gun so I could add a small bit of glue and then wrap the twine around that. I found myself really enjoying the 3D side of this workshop as it has always been something I have wanted to do.
After I added the sides to the base and some to the roof to make it seem like a shelter that you would find in a forest. I am pleased with the overall outcome as the structure is strong and it supports itself. I feel like the addition of the twine adds to the outdoor feel of the piece.
