After completing the wireframe process and finalising my designs for each section of the streaming service, I started to create digital versions on Illustrator. I took screenshots of the original Prime Video and then worked on top of them to add on my own ideas. I decided to create a new version for each of the widgets on the side navigation, as there were small areas in each I felt would make the whole project more cohesive.
Home Page: new icons in side navigation column
Search: new layout with buttons to separate movies & tv shows, similar to dice function
Watchlist: new layout like home page but no scrolling rows under carousel
Settings: created tabs with ‘settings’ staying the same, but added profile settings into second tab. Users can turn dice function on/off here.
Preferences: users can choose what functions they want on the streaming service, the dice in particular (what content is shown, type of ‘quiz’ to do).
Downloads: new link to settings where you can turn downloads on/off.
1st Choice: user picks what content will be included, random and movies or TV shows.
2nd Choice: if set in preferences, user decides what type of quiz they want to do.
Multiple Choice: user answers a series of multiple choice.
Questions: user answers a number of questions to help generate suggestions.
This or That: user picks between two options, one for each side of the dice.
Random Roll: no quiz needed, just straight to roll with both movies and TV shows.
End Process: if set up in preferences, user can see all the content shown, if they saw something they want to watch during the quiz.
How to view the final suggestions: split screen with content information at side
