Before I began my inventory for Prime Video, I wanted to research more into what exactly an interface inventory is as I hadn’t heard of it before. There were a number of different sections within it that I didn’t know what they were like breadcrumbs, accordions or red/checkbox inputs. So, I created a quick mind map with a few examples for each one which I could use to refer back to if I wasn’t sure what something was on Prime Video.
The process of creating the inventory was very time consuming, but the benefits at the end are very useful. It allowed me to see if the Prime Video user face is consistent and for the most part it is. The colour scheme is consistent as well as the font. One thing I did notice was the endless headings for the different categories of content on the home page. By creating this interface inventory, I feel I am more aware of how the streaming service works and what it involves.
