TADF: Colour Palette Clothing Photography

For this task, we had to chose items of clothing that matched our colour palette and arrange them in different ways and photograph them. To begin with I kept it simple by just folding the clothes in the same order as the colours on my mood board. After this I began to explore more with overlapping, twist, bending and manipulating the clothes into different shapes. I found that the images I took where the composition consisted on mainly straight line and geometric shapes were the most effective and linked well back to my mood board. I ended up taking a number of photographs of each composition of clothes and the photos below are what I feel are most successful.

Following this, I experimented with editing the images on photoshop and adding filters. I used this as an opportunity to add more of the details I had included in my mood board which I felt would work well with the clothes and create smaller details that I couldn’t with the photography. I feel by adding the extra effects on the computer was an effective way of linking the images back to mood board and presented them in a different way. Also, I think this makes the subject of the images less recognisable.
