I picked my first blind portrait to create with the wire as I felt it was the best spaced drawing. I was excited to try this out as I hadn’t heard of creating a continuous line piece with wire before. Getting started was the most difficult part as the wire kept moving whenever I placed it on top of my drawing. However, as I started wrapping and bending the eyes and nose the structure began to form and I am pleased with how it came out.
For the second wire piece, I added some tissue paper to parts of the portrait. I decided to use bright colours that wouldn’t be the natural colouring as I felt they would stand out against the dark wire. However, I feel the portrait I chose to recreate with the wire was not the best option as I didn’t have a lot of places where I was able to stick the tissue paper.
