I found this project really, really difficult as it seemed like nothing would work for me. The animals wouldn’t stay or even go into the position I required them to and the ‘set’ or background surrounding them was a bit underwhelming. However, I tried my best and although the ideas didn’t translate well I think in some ways a few of the photographs were quite interesting nonetheless.

The easiest was this painting.

I had to choose it as not many other ideas worked well at all. I don’t mind this photograph particularly however I had no eggs so I had to use onions instead so the image does look a little strange when compared to the original.

The painting of the cat I was most excited for, however neither of my cats would sit still for even a second.

My first cat just lay down and would not sit upright even with the promise of ham dangling above his head and the second kept jumping up toward said ham or simply walking away!

The last recreation was that of the dogs and the writing desk.

A similar problem to the previous recreation emerged as well. It was so difficult to direct the cats and dogs to sit still and look a certain way and in the end I couldn’t get the result I was after. The outcomes are rather disappointing if I’m honest but the models are cute so I can’t be too harsh.
