These drawings were my very first to do this year and I found it difficult to loosen up and open my mind to new ideas and methods. I found it difficult to be carefree with my drawings and spontaneous but tried to push myself nonetheless! I used a variety of media including pen, ink and chalk to create these sketches, opting for bold colours and harsh lines- I hope to get better at quick sketches and trying new things, overall I think these are just alright as I wasn’t sure of myself and lacked confidence to fully commit to the very free and abstract styles shown as examples!
