Photographs

I really enjoyed doing these as they were fun to create different shadows and lighting. I wanted when doing this to create different proportions such as portraiture , landscape and close up photographs. I love how bright and colourful these photographs are and the way each landscape has create different shadows and lights. I created some of these using artificial lighting and natural lighting of the sunlight. Some are much more editorial and others are very simplistic. I enjoyed coming up with the compositions and adding other factors such as people and weird items such as bubbles. Through my work I like using brighter and bolder, almost like neon colours to show the intensity of light and make it stand out from boring colours. One of my favourite photos are the bubble ones as it created the shine of the bubbles and the different colours reflecting the light.

Research – Dan Flavin

I am really inspired by Dan Flavin’s work as his use of Neon lights and simplicity of his work mainly contributes to my type of style. When doing photography I am very interested in using lights and different types of lights and how I can incorporate them into my work to make it much more dramatic. I love the Boldness of his Photography as-well and how it stands out as something different and not just a pain old sunset. I love to be creative with my shots and express my self in a fun bubbly way.
