Inspiration

This is my inspiration for my album. I decided to chose the song ‘ Happiness in Liquid Form’ as the song I felt fit my personality of brightness and joy. I loved the bright colours of the album and the amount of joy it brings. I wanted to highlight this energy when recreating the album.

Possible Ideas

This was one of my possible ideas. This was to portray the graffitist type on the smiley face and use the colours that were on the album. I used the bright green and the drip style in order to portray the ‘ Liquid ‘ in the song title. I wanted to add bright and Bold colours to give it a more retro style to the piece and how it would look bold on the Album Cover in the Shop.

This design was inspired by more of the wording of the Album and the liquid in the background. I wanted to add little smiley faces in order to highlight the ‘happiness’ in the song title. I kept with the wavy lines in order to highlight the free flowing liquid of the song and just to be inspired to let go and be free. I loved the colours and how they came out as bright and bold.

Final Design

Middle of Album

This is my final album/ vinyl cover. I was highly inspired by the original cover and the smile that was in the cover. I recreated this by using the drip effect to highlight the ‘liquid’ part of the song. I also loved how the album creates a funky smile highlighting the ‘happiness’ of the song. I also put the logo of the artist on the back to stamp their work of the album. I also used the colours of the original album but gave it a modern twist to make it more illustrated and have more personality. For the front of the cover I wanted to recreate a mouth and multiple teeth in order to highlight the original mouth in the original album. I wanted to also add the words on the song but make them bold still, so i used the opposite colours in order to highlight the writing on each side.
