Houses (Paper/Card)

When presented with this task I knew I wanted to create an origami village. I first started out making varying sizes of white houses simply made out of paper. These houses ranged from approximately 1 to 15cm tall. One of the smaller houses is shown in the image below (I have taken the photo of it in my hand so that the even smaller houses can be compared).

After creating several different sizes of houses with paper I wanted to try out some different materials. The colored houses are made from textured card. I felt that some patterns worked quite well. The house below looks as if it has floral wallpaper and a tiled roof which I thought suited the village aesthetic I was going for.

I felt the card worked well as it was sturdy however, i still prefer the plain houses-although, it likely would have worked best with some colored card to have a mix of the plain and bold, rather than patterns that clash.
