For my end-of-year show, I wanted a simple setup. I wanted to focus on the crow motif and the art.
This means I wanted to get a crow plush and artist supplies to sit on the table.
For sourcing things such as my tablecloth, runners and crow plush, I decided to use Amazon. I decided this as it meant to could get the supplies I need and could guarantee the delivery to my house.
I ordered a red tablecloth and black runners. This is to match the colour palette of the short film’s poster.
I also ordered some gold foil to provide some accents for the table
The red tablecloth will be draped over the table with the black runner running down the middle. I then plan to have 2 monitors and have my crow plush in between the monitors.
For the other parts of the table, I will have my artbook and business cards sitting to one side. On the other side, I will have artist supplies: sketchbook, pencils and erasers. The sketchbook that I will be providing I want to be an interactive task at my table. This task will involve guests being able to draw in the sketchbook and fill it with their own drawings. This task represents the core message of the short film: Death of an Artist. This is because by the end of the show’s run, I am hoping to have a sketchbook full of different artists’ drawings, where there are all these different drawings, but no one will know the face of the artist behind them.
