For this assignment, we were assigned to animate a short scene in either 2D or 3D, with selected audio of our choice.
At the beginning, I immediately thought of potential audios from a youtuber called ProZD. He makes small skits which became my main source of audio. After looking through his channel for a while I eventually came across this video below. With this audio, I began the baseline of my animation.

While brainstorming, the audio to be base my animation on two wizard brothers fighting a big boss. One of them has run out of magic and doesn’t want to waste a rare potion to the despair of the other brother.
To make the animation process simple, I had to explore the depths of the internet to find any inspiration for the overall art style of the animation. With Canva.com, I was able to create a blueprint of sources of media that I appealed to the most, and started assembling the animation.

JoJo but really fast series – Viva Reverie
Cyanide and Happiness – Explosm Entertainment
Asdf movie – Tomska
The biggest issue I had was with the program I used – Clip Studio Paint. Turns out that Paint does not support animation projects, and can only do 24 frames of animation each. While buying Clip Studio Ex was an option, which focuses on animation projects, I decided to break up the audio in one second each and then animate scene one by one (5 scenes in total). Once I exported the animation, I edited it into Filomra 10 and implemented the audio with the animation.
Despite having that problem, I found this assignment overall fun and therapeutic to work on. This has cemented myself into doing more 2D animations and constantly hoping to improve in the future and in upcoming projects.
