Shop commercial sign –
The purpose of this sign is to catch the eye of customers to make them take a second look at the shop. The message of the shop to promote their brand and to attract customers to make them want ice cream. The sign looks to be made of a flexible plastic. The tone is cheerful and bright, very positive.
Way finding & directional sign –
The purpose of this sign is to direct you towards the Sea Bin Project. The message due to the colours and the name shows it is environmental. Material is a strong thick plastic. The tone is very calming and friendly with the use of colour.
Ad-hoc sign –
This sign is to attract customers to Bangor’s latest coffee joint. The message is that they are promoting that they have the best coffee (and stuff) in Bangor. Material is laminated paper. The tone is grungy.
Street sign-
Purpose is to show the name of the street. The message is the name of the street. Material is metal, a non rust metal. Tone is very formal.
Regulatory sign –
The purpose of the sign is to show the rules of parking. The message is you can park for 1hr between Mon & Sat. Material is non rust metal. Tone is formal.
Architectonic sign –
The purpose of this sign is to show pedestrians this is the library, the message is the same. I think the material is cement or stone. Tone is very formal and old fashioned.
Mural –
Purpose of this sign is to promoted the Ward Park 3 concert. The message is displaying that snow patrol are returning to their home town. It has been spray painted and the tone is informal, laid back but also builds excitement and tension.
