On Week 4s class we primarily looked at how graphic design in the movie industry has developed. Mainly through album covers, merchandise, posters, advertising, etc. We learned about due to the rise of consumer culture, graphic design in the music industry really emerged and began thriving in the 1950s.

Using The Beatles as a primary example we could really see the development and progress of design as years go by hand in hand with each of their releases as the years went on. It was interesting to see how different movements over the years influenced music graphics for example in the 90s the graphics were greatly influenced by constructivism and Bauhaus.
