Reflection –
The Helmet was hard to decided on as I wanted originally to do a more Cyberpunk/Sci-Fi Helmet design, however, I felt as though it would be much easier for me to try something simple first before I move onto more complex designs such as Cyberpunk-Style Helmets.
The helmet reference was of an old Diving Helmet and I mainly focused on the top half as to save on time as the main focus was on the texturing and the implementation of the UV Map in Substance Painter, which I followed up with when I went back to my Snowman model and decided to give the Snowman a change of textures using from what I learnt with this model.
Hardest part was getting the Seam Marks right, as I didn’t want there to be a noticable seam line in the model itself, so I focused on posing the helmet to where the seam line couldn’t be seen in the final render.
I originally planned to have a caustics effect as lighting with God Rays, however due to limitations on some of my Computer Parts, I had to remove it from the scene and just have a basic light set up in a boxed off area within the scene.
