In this week, I continued making the textures for the road alongside working on the texture for the Arcade.
Finishing up the Road
For this week, I firstly finished what was left of the roads that needed to be completed before sending it to a google drive using the techniques from last week.

Now that its out of the way, it was time to texture the arcade building. This time, the team member send in a FBX file with fully labelled sections for each sections for where each texture will go. For this one the group told me to keep in mind the colour scheme of the concept design and to try and add some flair to the walls of the place as they didn’t want it to look dull.
So firstly, I began creating the metallic textures for the rims of the buildings, the crane, light posts, windows and door frames. I used similar techniques as I used for the chair. For the walls of the building, I firstly put the basic fill colour of the building before I added the dirt generator and adjusted the height to give it the look of concrete. This was so I can start working on the graffiti of the place. For this one, I created a painting layer and used the settings option on the bottom right to adjust things like brush sizes and disable some modes like emissive and metallic modes.

Once I was happy with the result, I exported the building and send it of to the Google Drive.
I also came up with a few ideas for other types of graffities. So far I can up with these two. As I was looking around the internet, I found these cartoony graffities which had a very interesting appeal to them. It really gave me the impression of on an urban place. So, I got started on working on the idea.

Here is the finishing result:
For the Devil graffiti I wanted it to have a more round and cartoony feel to it. During the process of drawing it, I had to make sure that it possessed graffiti like traits such as having this look of using spray. That’s why I tried to give it the effect of it being unfinished at the bottom.
For the Heavy drawing, I wanted do a similar thing to the devil but this time a lot more rounder and the presence of tiny hatches on the character to give the street feeling that I wanted to have.

I am overall pretty happy with how this week with what I have gotten done. My favourite part are the graffiti as they look and feel unique. I also loved that I was organised this time around and I got to finish the assets within a week. One thing that I would have loved to do is to try and find a way to integrate it into the models.
