I really enjoyed making the assets for my room. I was able to be more creative than I was last year with Maya tasks and I was much quicker making assets. I am also more confident UV’ing and texturing, and have a better understanding of the purpose of good texturing. For my next project with 3D objects I want to use more retropology, as I believe it would improve the look of my assets, but I was not confident enough to use it for this assignment.

I found unreal quite overwhelming at first and made mistakes, such as forgetting to combine my meshes before exporting out of Maya. However when I got the hang of the imports and texturing, unreal made the assets look great and I was pleased with the final look and video of the room.

I liked working with my group for the project, especially working on our own projects but with a shared theme. I feel like we pulled together well to make good final videos as the team had different amounts of experience which meant there were differences in skill levels. However I would work with each of my group members again.
