UVs were not complete at this stage, Import was just to check what adding textures looked like on the model.

 

 

 

Feedback from Michael

  • Reduce Polys
  • Use multicut
  • If you’re going to use a reference image – ‘use it’ – dagger is not in proportion
  • Use mirroring

 

 

Didn’t like this version with the mirroring, asset felt flat and not what I was wanting to achieve.

Using the Trim and Trim Smooth Border brushes to add aging detailing and damages to the wood and metal.

 

 

Dagger Substance Painter

 

Scratches and blood staining painted to add ageing and narrative.
