Bartender and Cello Animations
Creating animations for the secondary Marvelous dresses I made
As the rig will be invisible due to the way we have to import from Marvelous to Maya to Unreal, and the way we want our animation just to show dresses, we do not have to focus on frame by frame perfect animation such as facial expression or head tilts. The movement just needed to be exaggerated enough to move the fabric.
Bartender
To create the bartender animation, I followed this youtube video for referencing;
To check I was moving the glasses in the correct proportion to the rig, I imported a section of Hannah’s bar so I would have a reference for the glasses hitting a surface, and a place for the bartender to reach under and pull a bottle out from.
In terms of a normal animation, its easy to see where the hand doesnt sync fully to lifting the glass or the bottle, but as the figures body would technically end at the sleeve, this wasn’t necessary to fully animate

Cello
Simlarly to the bartender animation, I imported the cello Rachel will be using for this scene. Due to the way Rachel is setting up her clips, I will be making a shorter animation that will just get repeated.
