In this week’s lecture, I focused on lighting and ways to present it while using the blender software. The topics we focused on were lighting setups, different types of light orbs that have various ways to light up a room or object such as the sun, point, spot and area lighting.
We did this by using spotlighting and point lighting around our area and object to create key light, fill light and backlight.
After focusing on HDRI (High Dynamic Range Image) which ‘gives photo editors and film creators a chance to brighten the corners and create an image that looks more natural.’ (Adobe, 2024)
We also looked upon depth of field which ‘is the distance between the nearest and the furthest objects that are in acceptably sharp focus in an image captured with a camera.’ (Wikipedia, 15/02/24)
