Seminar Talks on Applications for Research and Teaching with AI

Aim: to support responsible and ethical engagement with AI by featuring specific examples of AI applications in research and teaching.
Specific examples: for information and inspiration
- specific examples demonstrate responsible use of AI
 - participants are encouraged to adapt the examples for their own practice
 
This model is based on previous workshops on teaching applications in April 2024 and research applications in June 2025.

Using AI to Build Better Assessment Rubrics with SOLO Taxonomy 
Format
Each 90-minute talk will include 2 elements:
- A 20-minute presentation on the specific AI application from research or teaching
 - A 60-minute hands-on tutorial on an element of the application, designed for staff without a background in AI.
Attendees should bring a laptop to participate in the tutorial 
Locations
The talks will be held in person across the UU campuses, with tea/coffee and biscuits provided.
