Event:  Online Workshop on Adaptive Education: Harnessing AI for Academic Progress

We are excited to announce an upcoming online workshop dedicated to exploring the innovative and transformative role of Generative AI in education. This event will serve as an international platform for sharing insights, research, and practical use cases of AI-driven future-leaning approaches in teaching practices. 

Key Areas for Submission:

  • Innovative Applications of Generative AI in Education 
  • Challenges and Solutions in Implementing AI in Academic Contexts 
  • Evaluating the Impact of AI on Teaching and Learning Processes 
  • Developing Ethical and Responsible AI Practices in Education 
  • Case Studies of AI Integration in Educational Institutions 
  • Future Trends and Directions in AI-based Educational Tools 

Submission Guidelines

  • Abstract should include a title, content and references. 
  • The content is limited to 300 words, not including title and references. 
  • Reviewing will be double blind: author details should not be included in the abstract (but will be added separately on Easy chair). 

 Submissions are now CLOSED. 

Presentation format

  • a 20-minute talk + 10 minutes for questions, delivered live (or pre-recorded with the recording played live, with live questions)

  • Sue Attewell – Head of AI and co-design at Jisc 
  • Andy Jaffrey – Head of the Office for Digital Learning and Chair of the AI working group at Ulster University

Opportunity

This workshop presents an invaluable opportunity for educators, researchers, and AI practitioners to contribute to the discourse on AI in education, influence policymaking, and shape the future of teaching and learning. 

Innovation Award

We will also be awarding an Innovation Award for the best abstract submission. This award will be determined based on demonstrating actual implementations of impactful use of AI for pedagogic purposes, in either of the following categories: 

  • incorporation of AI technology to enhance teaching effectiveness 
  • supporting student awareness and engagement with AI 

For both categories, evidence should be provided for the impact of the effect on teaching effectiveness or student learning, respectively.  Join us in this endeavour to harness the potential of AI for educational excellence and innovation. We look forward to your insightful contributions!
