Bye Bye Swetswise, Hello EBSCO

The Library has changed from Swets to EBSCO as our periodical supplier and EBSCO are now providing access to our print & e-journals. There are new links in our Electronic Journals service called EBSCO (Ulster) which will take you to the journal titles you require.

As part of this change, we will lose access to Swetswise from the end of May. If you have stored any references in your Swetswise ‘Filing Cabinet’ and want to keep them, you will need to move them into RefWorks. A guide to transferring references from Swetswise to Refworks is available. Alternatively, contact your Subject Librarian for help.

The Library offers many thousands of e-journals & print journals and changing supplier is complicated. We have worked hard to ensure that the transition is as smooth as possible, but if you have problems in reaching the journals you need, please let us know.

Passport – International Marketing Database

The Library has set up a new subscription to the Passport database (formerly called GMID). Earlier this year, the database was upgraded with significantly more content and is now an impressive research database for those needing access to international marketing and economic data. As well as data for over 210 countries, there are a vast range of full-text reports on industries, countries and companies. The industry reports cover primarily consumer markets. Please contact a member of the business team if you would like a demonstration.
