Engineering Village New Interface.

On July 18th Engineering Village will switch on a new platform that has been designed to improve the user experience by making the interface more intuitive and enabling more detailed search criteria. Based on extensive user feedback, the new features include:

  • A new “Add Search field” feature in Quick Search
  • A cleaner search results page, making it easier to find an article
  • All facets visible on the search results page, with minimal scrolling required
  • Facets can be re-ordered with drag and drop functionality
  • A more accessible ‘Combine Previous Searches’ Option
  • Search History is now available on the home page, directly below all search forms
  • Results display options with 25, 50 and 100 results
  • Intuitive re-design of the abstract page

2011 Journal Citation Reports Now Available

Thomson Reuters have announced the release of the 2011 Journal Citation Reports. The 2011 release, with separate editions for Science and Social Sciences, features the largest-ever JCR with 10,677 journal listings in 232 disciplines; 2,552 publishers from 82 countries are represented.

A total of 528 journals receive their first Journal Impact Factor in this latest JCR release. You can access the JCR reports here. Once you are logged in to Web of Science click on the Select a Database tab and choose Journal Citation Reports.
