Another method of alternative means of drawing was to create your own tools in order to make interesting marks and patterns, therefore we went outside in search of items that had complex shapes or looked like they would make eye catching marks. Leaves and flowers along with a plethora of other things proved to be strong contenders when trying to create compelling imagery. After finding our tools we attached them to found sticks to make them look more like artistry tools, like a paintbrush handle for example.
I dipped my tools into different colours of acrylic paint and used them to make marks and prints on black paper, this made them stand out from the background, but also made the intricate details of the prints become more visible.
